Zumfuel is a fuel delivery service business operating out of Mesa, AZ. Zumfuel brings gasoline to a client’s location and fills the tank of their car, while they are parked at home or at work. This service nearly eliminates the need for the client to stop at a gas station. It is often provided as an employee benefit.
Zumfuel uses specifically modified Chevy Silverado 2500 pickups, with a cap to deliver gas and refuel their clients’ vehicles. After recently acquiring a new 2018 Silverado, Zumfuel contacted Blue Chip Signworks about adding a partial wrap to advertise their business and attract additional customers. We printed the wrap in our shop and installed it onto the new truck.
A wrap design is very effective and eye catching. It uses bright colors with excellent contrast, large, simple fonts, a descriptive company logo, and a swoopy partial wrap to attract attention and quickly make the point. The wrap conveys exactly who they are, what they do, and how to contact them for service. Many times, when it comes to vehicle advertising and brand building, simple is better. This is a clear example of why and how effectively it works when done well.
Since the truck is new and long life durability was a design goal, we used 3M IJ180MC vinyl for the wrap. We almost always recommend the 3m 8519 Luster laminate for this type of wrap. Phoenix sun is too bright and throws too much glare from a full gloss wrap, making it difficult to see and quickly get the message, as intended.
The rear of the vehicle is always a critical design point. It gets maximum time for viewing while waiting at stop lights. Zumfuel again decided to go with a clear simple message. This is an excellent example of a partial wrap that works. Partial wraps can be substantially less money than full wraps. With the right design, they can be even more effective.
